The Ministry of Health (MoH) on Wednesday announced registration of 106 new novel coronavirus cases in Oman, taking the total to 1,614. Oman registered its first two cases on February 24.
Of the 106, 35 are Omanis and 71 expatriates. “The total number of cases in Oman till date are 1,614. Altogether, 238 patients have recovered and eight have died,” MoH said in a statement.
Oman is expecting to witness the peak of COVID-19 infections between April 23 to 30 with around 500 infections a day. Of the eight death cases, two were Omanis, aged 72, while the rest were expatriates.
