The Ministry of Health (MoH) on Sunday announced the registration of 86 new coronavirus cases. Total cases in the sultanate stand at 1,266 which include seven deaths. MoH said of the total cases registered on Sunday, 15 are Omanis and 71 are expatriates.
The seventh death was announced on Sunday. The deceased was a 59 year old expatriate.
Disinfecting homes
Muscat Municipality has started a campaign to sterilise homes of expatriates workers in the wilayat of Seeb.
Ramadan hours
Muscat Municipality has announced that the working hours for Ramadan at the Central Market for Vegetables and Fruits in Mawaleh will be as follows. Wholesale sale will be from 4.30am to 2pm; shop sale from 6am to 5pm (Saturday to Thursday). The municipality has confirmed that the sale in retail stores will be throughout the week from morning to evening.
Violators arrested
The Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources has arrested expatriate workers who were engaged in the activity of tailoring and sewing women’s clothes, in violation of the decision of the Supreme Committee for dealing COVID-19 in Mussanah.
