Ramadan work timings announced in Oman

Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and Chairman of the Civil Service Council issued a decision on Wednesday declaring that working hours in the ministries, public authorities and other departments of the state’s administrative apparatus in Ramadan (1441 AH) will be from 9am to 2pm.

Sayyid Khalid extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on this blessed occasion, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect him and grant him good health, happiness and a long life, and for the return of this and similar occasions on him for many years to come. 

Sayyid Khalid prayed for the Omani people and Oman with further progress and welfare under His Majesty the Sultan’s leadership and blessings to all Muslims. 

Private sector timings 

Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser al Bakri, Minister of Manpower issued a decision reducing the working hours in private sector companies and establishments for Muslims during the holy month to six hours per day, equivalent to 30 hours per week.

All employees at the private sector extended their greetings and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan on this blessed occasion, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect him, grant him good health, happiness and a long life and for the return of this and similar occasions on him, the Omani people and all Muslims with blessings and well-being.
