The Ministry of Health (MoH) announced the registration of 97 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. The total cases in the sultanate now stands at 910 which includes four deaths.
MoH has confirmed that one more person has recovered. With this the total number of recovered cases in the sultanate stands at 131.
Even though the numbers are sharply increasing by the day, Oman’s trajectory of cases has been slightly behind most of countries in the Gulf, where a relatively steep increase in cases is being witnessed.
The ministry calls upon people to adhere to the isolation procedures and other directions of the Supreme Committee.
The ministry also stated that H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saidi, Minister of Health visited The Royal hospital on Wednesday morning to follow up the efforts of the hospital and medical groups assisting in confronting the coronavirus.
