Oman has continued to report a high number of confirmed COVID-19 cases as the authorities intensified the testing process, especially in Muttrah. On Monday, the Ministry of Health (MoH) announced the registration of 128 new cases. This brings the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 cases to 727.
According to MoH data, this is the biggest number of cases recorded in a day since the outbreak in Oman. The total number of those who have recovered has touched 124. “Out of 124 recoveries, 15 are new recoveries. Four people have lost their lives, two citizens and two residents,” said MoH.
MoH said that Covid-19 screening points in Muttrah are set only for those who developed the disease’s symptoms such as fever, cough, flu, sore throat, or shortness of breath. There are six testing centres in Muttrah and the screening time is between 9 am until 1 pm.
