Spread a smile: Rainbow Carnival for kids

A three-day carnival to integrate children with special needs into the society and instil confidence in them will begin from Thursday.  

It will be organised by the Association for the Welfare of Handicapped Children. Speaking to Muscat Daily, H H Sayyida Hujaija bint Jaifer al Said, chairperson of the association, said the Rainbow Carnival will be held from 4-10pm. 

“The carnival will be held at the association headquarters in Azaiba at 18th November Street. There will be different fun activities for kids such as pony rides, face painting, arts and crafts, magic show, zumba, bird and pet zone, bouncy castles, food trucks, etc. 

“The carnival aims to integrate these children into the society and provide financial support. We wish to share our joy and happiness in the society. We have got a lot of support from the community,” said Sayyida Hujaija.  

She also explained about the blood donation programme that will be organised by Sultan Qaboos University Hospital’s blood bank at the carnival. “We call on all members of the society to participate in the blood donation campaign.”
