H E Ahmed bin Nasser bin Hamad al Mehrzi, Minister of Tourism, received in his office Sebastian Münzenmaier, AfD-Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the German Federal Parliament (Bundestag), and his accompanying delegation. 

The two sides discussed ways of cooperation in the field of tourism investment in the sultanate and reviewed several aspects.  

The two sides also discussed ways to increase the flow of tourists between the countries by intensifying promotional efforts that will contribute to enhancing tourist movement. Meanwhile, 176,769 German tourists visited the sultanate in 2019. 

The sultanate’s efforts, represented by the Ministry of Tourism, were reviewed to promote and develop the tourism sector, and achieve quality in the sector’s products and services while preserving the Omani identity and highlighting it as a basic element.
