The Advanced Cybersecurity Academy (ACA) hosted a symposium under the title ‘Cyber Security in Critical National Infrastructure’ with the participation of executives’ representatives from various entities in the country.
The symposium was opened by Dr Ahmad al Kalbani, dean of the ACA, followed by a keynote speech from Dr Ian Levy, technical director of the National Cyber Security Centre in UK.
Prof Chris Johnson from Glasgow University and Stephen Bailey from NCC Group also gave presentations. This symposium aimed to raise national cybersecurity resilience and capability, providing principles for national protection.
At the symposium, Dr Levy highlighted the scale of global threat against Critical National Infrastructure, and key principles to defend against cyberattack.
Dr Levy and his team also visited the academy at the Higher College of Technology and discussed the cooperation plan.
