The Social Observatory Research Program of The Research Council (TRC) inaugurated its first research activities for the year by implementing a workshop for academics and researchers from various higher education institutions in North Sharqiyah governorate at Ibra College of Technology recently.
 

Dr Said bin Sulaiman al Dhafri, head of the programme, presented the workshop on ‘Academic Platforms: Strategies for Research Excellence’.

He reviewed the most important platforms for researchers and academics as a way to spread knowledge, share the results of scientific research, and introduce researchers from different countries of the world to the most prominent scientific results that researchers reached in various higher education institutions in the sultanate.
 

The workshop touched on a large number of statistics, and the evaluation mechanisms that research platforms follow to evaluate research contributions, in addition to discussing influencing factors for scientific journals and researchers.
