H E Ahmed bin Abdullah al Shihi, Minister of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources, has announced the winners of 29th Municipality and Water Resources Month Competitions 2019. 

It was held under the theme ‘Continuous Efforts and Sustainable Development’. His Majesty’s Cups, along with cash prize, were awarded to Ibri (1st), Bahla (2nd), Madha (3rd), Samail (4th) and Sur (5th). 

The Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources’ (MRMWR) cups, with cash prizes, were awarded to Jalaan Bani Bu Ali (1st), Khabourah (2nd), Barka (3rd),  Shinas (4th) and Wadi Bani Khalid (5th). Four wilayats won the ministry’s shields with cash prizes, namely Dima Wa al Taien, Mussanah, Mahdah and Haima. 

The ministry also honoured the wilayat of Rustaq in appreciation of its efforts for road construction and paving, and Nizwa for organising markets in residential neighbourhoods.
