The Ministry of Housing has embarked on an ambitious plan to distribute lands for various purposes, preservation and registration of property through the Secretariat of the Land Registry.
It distributed 40 houses to citizens in the Al Kohil area in the wilayat of Mahdah in Buraimi, with the support and funding of Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation recently.
In 2017, the ministry distributed more than 66,000 plots in the sultanate’s governorates. The maximum number of plots were distributed in Dakhliyah with a total of 14,166 plots for various uses. Of these maximum were residential plots (52,079).
As many as 19,000 plots were distributed in Dakhliyah governorate with more than 4,000 residential plots.
During the first half of 2018, more than 22,000 plots were handed over for various uses in several governorates of the sultanate.
The number of commercial plots distributed during the same period in the sultanate’s governorates reached 414 and most of them were in the South Batinah governorate with 169 plots. The number of commercial cum residential plots stood at 891,493.
