The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has urged citizens and residents to be alert as heavy rain is expected in Muscat and several other governorates till Thursday.  

The weather charts show that Oman will be affected by a trough of low pressure.  ‘The weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy with chances of rain and thundershowers over Musandam and North Batinah from Sunday evening. It will extend gradually from Monday morning to the governorates of Buraimi, Dhahirah, South Batinah, Dakhliyah and Muscat,’ PACA stated in its weather report. 

Sea state will be moderate to rough along the coasts of Musandam and Sea of Oman with maximum wave height ranging from 1.5-2.5m. Precaution has been advised before sailing.
