The Ministry of Manpower (MoM) is cracking the whip on ‘free visa’ scamsters with the latest rounding up of an employer who had registered 63 firms. MoM referred the employer to the Public Prosecution for violating the labour law.
“He had registered 63 companies. Our inspection teams found that the employer had allowed his 524 employees to work for others illegally. We have stopped dealing with these firms and referred him to the Public Prosecution.”
The official stated that the employer was found violating Article 18 of Omani Labour Law.
