Muscat – On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers will leave for Saudi Arabia on Tuesday to lead the sultanate’s delegation in the 40th Summit of the GCC Leaders.
The summit will be held in Riyadh on Tuesday, corresponding to December 10. Last Wednesday, His Majesty the Sultan had received a written message from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz al Saud of Saudi Arabia, inviting him to attend the GCC summit.
The message was received by Sayyid Fahd when he received Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid al Zayani, Secretary General of the GCC. Oman under the leadership of His Majesty the Sultan is always keen to support the GCC march. Sayyid Fahd is being accompanied by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Futaisi, Minister of Transport, Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed al Sa’eedi, Minister of Legal Affairs and officials.
