Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said gave an audience to Marc J Sievers, US Ambassador to Oman at Bait al Barakah on Friday to bid farewell at the end of his tour of duty.

During the meeting, the ambassador expressed thanks to His Majesty the Sultan for the support extended during his tour of duty in serving the existing relations between the two friendly countries.

Sievers expressed wishes of good health and happiness to His Majesty the Sultan, and the Omani people further progress and prosperity.

On his turn, His Majesty the Sultan thanked the ambassador for the efforts exerted to enhance the relations between the two countries, wishing him success in his future duties.

The meeting was attended by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs.
