Muttrah Hotel relaunches popular café

7 Nov 2019

With a retro style inspired from the 1970s jazz culture of United States of America, Muttrah Hotel last week re-launched its popular café. Called The Lounge, the venue boasts several antic cars from early 1900s and macho motorbikes.

Speaking about The Lounge, Faisal al Balushi, manager of Muttrah Hotel, said, “Our hotel is the oldest in Muscat and now counts almost four decades. We have mainly tourists coming from Europe and the US as well as locals and expatriates. This has been one of the most popular hotels in the region owing to its proximity to the corniche, souq and port. The Lounge will take the relaxing environment to a different level with jazz, pop and country music and open mic events every weekend. The musicians are excellent and will surely entertain the guests with their numbers.”

He added that services at The Lounge are priced reasonably and the overall atmosphere with good lights, food, games and music will be an added benefit to the tourists visiting Oman. The Lounge is open every evening.
