Indywood Film Carnival to change the gear of Indian Cinema

The third edition of Indywood Film Carnival, an ambitious initiative of 10 billion US dollar Project Indywood, promoted by 2000 Indian billionaires and corporates, will be held from December 1 to 4 at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.

"With the support of Indian billionaires and corporates, we are planning to pump Rs 70,000 crore to elevate Indian Film Industry to global standards. Our entry has boosted the confidence of many renowned production houses to conceive and implement big budget movies which appeal for international audience; from content to production and from distribution to projection. We are happy that our efforts are reaping benefits gradually," said Sohan Roy, Founder Director of Indywood .

Indywood spearheaded by leading NRI industrialist Sohan Roy who is also the Chairman and CEO of UAE-based Aries Group aims at initiating 10,000 new 4K projection multiplex screens, 100,000 2K/4K projection home cinemas, 8K/4Kfilm studios, 100 animation/VFX studios and film schools conforming to international standards.

Aries Group is one of the largest multinational conglomerates in the Middle East with 45 companies operating in 15 countries across the world.

The four day Indywood Film Carnival will comprise of 15 major events, and will showcase 250 movies from 100 countries including 75 red carpet screenings as part of its film festival segment. "The mammoth event is expected to draw 300 exhibitors, 5000 trade delegates, 500 plus potential investors, 2500 plus Indywood Talent Hunt finalists, and over 300 international deal makers, said Sohan Roy, Founder Director of Indywood.

The conference sessions will include Media Interactions, Conferences and Panel Discussions, Workshops and Seminars, Film Business Quiz, Golden Frame Awards, Excellence Awards, Red Carpet and Networking Events, Product and Project launches, Film Tourism and Investors Meet.

Sohan Roy's Hollywood directorial venture Dam999 movie had won many national and international accolades including five Oscar selections.

Sohan Roy, listed as one of the Top Powerful and Influential Leaders in Middle East 2017 by Forbes Middle East, is a member of New York-based International Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences (IATAS). He also serves as the Advisory Board member to the World Council of CCCI (Cosmopolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industries). Besides he pioneered the concept of building dual 4K multiplexes and 4K Atmos home cinemas in less space.
