Swedish band enthralls audience

The Swedish band Golbang performed for a crowd of about 1,500 at Qurm amphitheatre on Thursday. The band played progressive world music, including a mix of popular Baluchi, Persian, Arabic and Kurdish numbers. Lead vocalist Rostam Mir Lashari, popularly known as the Prince of Baluchi music, was accompanied by seven band members at the debut performance in Muscat.

“The band was roped in on popular demand. A large number of people in Oman are Baluchi, and he is very popular with the masses,” said Sajad Maqbool, manager - marketing, Incubix, the organiser of the event.

Prince of Balochi music

he really is the prince of Balochi music............ The way he is promoting Balochi music deserves a lot of praise........... Hats off to him................

His debut could have been better!

Rostum's show could have attracted more audience than the mentioned number; 1500 but if it was promoted effectively. Unfortunately, the sponsors really let him and his team down as he is the most popular Balochi singer not just between balochi community but in Sweden and Iran as well.
