Study looks at tourism potential in Oman

The first meeting of the Tourism Committee was held recently under Ibrahim al Nabhani, a member of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the head of the committee. During the meeting, the committee approved a field study titled 'Tourism reality in Oman'."

The study discussed tourism potential in all governorates of Oman,"  Nabhani said. "It took into consideration tourists' point of views as they constitute 50 per cent of people who are part of the study."

Nabhani said the committee is in the process of  preparing a draft to revive yacht tours among GCC countries. "The committee will continue to coordinate with concerned agencies in both the government and private sector to overcome challenges to develop tourism potential in Oman."
