As part of its open day activity, the Hayat voluntary team organised a classic and sports car show in Sohar’s Al Ghushba village on Thursday. The show, held near the village mosque, had eight cars in the fray.
Mohammed al Muqbali, leader of Hayat voluntary team, said, “The show had classic as well as modified cars. Four cars received awards in different categories,” he said.
Besides the classic car show, the team also organised four exhibitions. The first exhibition highlighted aims, vision and mission of Hayat voluntary team and displayed old photographs of Al Ghushba village.
The second exhibition saw the team organise a blood donation drive through a mobile collection unit, and blood sugar and blood pressure checks. The third show was on consumer rights awareness while the fourth was about Sohar University. Various activities for children, poetry sessions, a donkey race and folk dances were also held during the day.
