Sheraton Oman wins big at World Travel Awards

Muscat -

Sheraton Oman, the iconic hotel in the heart of Muscat, has won Oman’s Leading Hotel Award 2017 at the Middle East Gala Ceremony of the 24th World Travel Awards (WTA) 2017. The awards, billed as the ‘Oscars of the travel world’, were presented at a glittering ceremony attended by industry leaders in Dubai recently.

Jointly owned by Twenty14 Holdings and National Hotels Co Ltd, the Sheraton Oman was reopened in August last year, after undergoing extensive renovations.

Adeeb Ahamed, managing director of Twenty14 Holdings, said, “We are extremely proud and honoured to have Sheraton Oman be recognised as Oman’s leading hotel. This is a well-earned recognition and shows the dedication and passion put forth by the entire team to make the hotel standout in such a short span of time. We will continue to uphold our position as the destination of choice for our guests and this award inspires us to keep improving our services and ensuring that we offer an experience that is second to none.”

With 230 elevated rooms and uninterrupted view of the Hajar Mountains, Sheraton Oman offers refined culinary experiences including the newly opened Tea Library, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, spa, one of the largest ballrooms in the country and signature Sheraton brand offerings.

The World Travel Awards Middle East Gala Ceremony was part of a series of regional gala ceremonies staged to recognise and celebrate individual and collective success within each key geographical region and was being held at The Armani Hotel for the second successive year.
