Royal Oman Police News: Two men arrested for fuel station theft in Oman

A team from the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation recently arrested two people for breaking into a fuel station in Seeb and stealing the safe.

An ROP investigation was launched after the theft and the two men were arrested in Seeb. One of them was caught driving a vehicle stolen from Sidab. The number plate of the vehicle had been changed. The second man was also arrested from the same place at a later time. The men admitted to the crime and led the police to Barka, where the safe was stashed away. Cash and mobile phone recharge cards were recovered from the safe.

The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution. ROP is on the lookout for two more men involved in the crime.


Airport security training held for Royal Guard of Oman officials

A training course in airport security for the Royal Guard of Oman recently concluded at the Directorate General of Airport Security. Participants were briefed on control and surveillance devices, and aviation accidents. The course was held under the auspices of Lt Col Khalid bin Saleh al Qasmi, assistant director of operations at the Directorate General.
