An official at Omantel call centre said that there was a network problem from the morning but it affected only certain numbers. Although it was stated that the service will be restored quickly, the network continues to play spoilsport till the time of filing this copy.
An Omantel subscriber said that since 8.45am he couldn't make or receive any calls. “Whenever I try to call, a message 'Not registered on network' pops up. I tried restarting, and removing and re-inserting the SIM, but nothing worked.”
