Oman to take part in ITB Berlin this week

Muscat -

The sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Tourism, will participate in the five-day ITB Berlin (Internationale Tourismus-Borse Berlin) from Wednesday. The sultanate’s delegation will be led by H E Ahmed bin Nasser bin Hamad al Mehrzi, Minister of Tourism.

The delegation will also comprise representatives of 38 tourism organisations and Oman Air. The delegation will also attend the ITB international conference and hospitality day. The event provides an ideal opportunity to review latest developments in the global tourism industry and promote the sultanate as a hub for tourists and tourism investments.

It is also an opportunity to showcase the latest tourism services and projects in the sultanate. The event will also help achieve a number of aims such as encouraging tourism investments in the sultanate and raise awareness of Oman Tourism Strategy 2040. The annual event is the biggest specialised tourism exhibition.

The first three days of the exhibition are dedicated to events, agreements and meetings among official delegations and exhibitors. During the last two days, the exhibition is opened for public and tourists. Last year, the event saw around 175,000 visitors and 10,096 exhibitors representing 186 countries.
