Muscat -

Tom Lax is the first student from National Hospitality Institute (NHI) to join the HTMI Hotel School in Switzerland. This is  due to a new agreement between NHI and HTMI whereby  students on NHI’s Hotel Management Diploma can continue  their studies to degree level at HTMI.

Robert Maclean, principal of  NHI visited HTMI in August and  met with the academic dean Charles Hains.

The partnership between the  two training entities will grow  further and NHI hopes to be able to deliver the HTMI diploma directly at NHI from next year.
Maclean said, “I am delighted to have had the chance to visit  HTMI and to see Tom settled in his new school.”

He added, “We are looking forward to working with HTMI in the future  to help us develop young people for our ever growing hospitality industry. With the growth of tourism is Oman it is  imperative that we put forward solutions to the employment  needs of young Omanis and others.”
