NBO organises special women’s meet

To mark the second Omani Women’s Day, National Bank of Oman’s (NBO) Women’s Network Group recently organised a special women’s conference under the auspices of H H Sayyida Rawan bint Ahmed al Said, NBO board member and  managing director and group CEO, ONIC Holding. The conference, ‘Women of Excellence’ was held at the City Seasons Hotel, Muscat.

This NBO initiative was in response to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said’s  directive to Omani women to take a more active role in society. The purpose of the conference was to provide an opportunity to groups of women to network and discuss topics of mutual concern. The conference was attended by women representing different sectors, in addition to NBO women executives and the bank’s senior management.

The conference included a keynote speech by chief guests followed by panel discussions, a workshop and a show on ‘Women and Money.’ The discussions covered topics such as ‘Breaking the Glass Ceiling; Can women Reach the Top of Oman’s largest corporations?, ‘Work-Life Balance: Love Your Work Life’ and ‘Challenges Facing Businesswomen,’ and a de-stressing workshop by  Mawahib al Shaibani,  CEO,  The Art of Living.
