The MoUs were signed on the sidelines of a seminar and the meeting of the International Association of Public Transportation in the Middle East and North Africa (UITO-MENA) held at OCEC in Muscat on Monday. Eng Ahmed bin Ali al Balushi, CEO of Mwasalat, Maqbool bin Ali Sultan, board chairman of NAHI, Trevor McCartney, general manager of OCEC and Salim bin Said al Wahaibi, chairman of OFA signed the memoranda.
The first MoU between Mwasalat and NAHI is for training company’s drivers. The second MoU between Mwasalat and OCEC is to provide transportation, including taxis and public buses for visitors and OCEC staff. The third MoU with OFA seeks to provide shuttle service to athletes, coaches, OFA staff according to what is agreed upon between the two parties.
H E Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Salim al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications, the Undersecretary for Transport in the Ministry of Transport and Communications and officials attended the signing of pacts.
