Indian suicide victim laid to rest in Muscat

A 25 year old Indian youth who committed suicide on December 15 was buried at the PDO cemetery in Muscat on Saturday. Libin Joy, an HSE co-ordinator at Al Ansari Company, had hanged himself to death in the company accomodation in Sur.
“As the entire family is staying in Muscat, they opted for a local burial. As requested by family members, ROP waived off the post-mortem. At least 100 well-wishers attended the funeral prayers at the cemetery,” a close family friend of the victim said.
Al Ansari Company facilitated and bore the expenses for the funeral, said M Nataraj, a senior administration officer at the company.
