ISM celebrates 42nd annual day

Indian School Muscat (ISM) celebrated its 42nd annual day last week amidst great zest, vibrance and elation in the school’s multipurpose hall. Aftab Patel, CEO, Al Omaniya Financial Services graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Mohammad Sabir Faizi, finance director, Board of Directors of Indian Schools in the Sultanate of Oman; N Omanakuttan, president of Indian School Muscat Managing Committee, members of the School Managing Committee; officiating principal, Deep Wilson; vice principals, assistant vice principals, teachers, parents and students were present to witness the grand event.

The celebrations started with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, accompanied by other dignitaries and the officiating principal.

This was followed by a soulful rendition of a prayer song by the school choir.

Officiating principal formally welcomed the gathering and presented the school’s annual report. In his report he highlighted the glorious achievements of the school in both academics and co-curricular activities.

While addressing the audience, Omanakuttan applauded the school for its 42 years of success in moulding young minds. He said that the annual day was not only a time for celebration but also a time for reflection.

The chief guest expressed his immense happiness over his presence at the function. He emphasised the pivotal role of teachers in the path of learning and appreciated them for their noble service. He urged the students to follow their dreams with perseverance and self confidence and reminded them that there were no short cuts to success.

Patel accompanied by Omanakuttan and Wilson presented awards to the meritorious students of CBSE Class XII Examinations.
