General Education Diploma results today

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has announced via Twitter that H E Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed bin Nasser al Shaibaniyah approved the results for the General Education Diploma 2016-17. The ministry has said that the results will be available on Wednesday from 4pm through SMS (Omantel and Ooredoo).

The results will also be available later on the Oman Educational Portal. The ministry confirmed that 40,005 students appeared in the General Education Diploma regular course this year and the success rate was 82.37 per cent. The success rate in the General Education Diploma for private schools (bilingual) was 91.22 per cent in which 1,048 students appeared.

The success rate was 100 per cent for the General Education Diploma course of the Royal Guard of Oman Technical College (bilingual) in which 37 students appeared. As many as 162 students appeared in the General Education Diploma in Islamic Sciences and the success rate was 98.77 per cent. The success rate in the General Education Diploma (private) was 80.77 per cent. As many as 27 students appeared.

The ministry also announced that students can apply for revaluation of the examination papers from February 16-23.
