Computer Science students of GUtech visit University of Bremen

To provide students insights into smart city projects and smart techniques, a group of third and fourth year Computer Science students of German University of Technology Oman (GUtech) are currently conducting an excursion to various research institutions in Germany.

This week the group visited the University of Bremen where they were welcomed by Professor Dr Yasmin Karakasoglu, vice president of the university and Katrin Durow from the International Office of the University of Bremen, stated a press release.

The group was then introduced to various research laboratories such as the Bremen Ambient Assisted Living Lab.

The students also attended a workshop about ‘The Internet of Things’ at the renowned German research centre, the Fraunhofer Institute in Bonn.

The students visited GUtech’s partner-university in Germany, RWTH Aachen University. The excursion is part of the Computer Science study programme and sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
