Located in the Ghala Heights business district, the property will house 152 rooms as well an extensive list of facilities including three dining outlets, serving Thai, Middle Eastern and International dishes, Centara’s signature SPA Cenvaree, a rooftop pool and terrace offering stunning views of the Sea of Oman, meeting spaces, and a premium lounge.
Anthony Wright, general manager, Centara Muscat Hotel Oman, said in a statement, “Centara Muscat will open its doors in early May as the first Centara hotel to operate in the Middle East. Since the beginning of this year, we started rolling out the communications about the opening of this new, exciting property and have secured bookings from our agents and sales offices worldwide.”
He added that with the opening, Centara is bringing unique Thai hospitality to the forefront of service and operations – something that has not been seen before in the region. “We believe that with our comprehensive and modern facilities matching those in a standard four-star Centara hotel, coupled with its supreme location, Centara Muscat Hotel Oman will be an ideal accommodation choice for those aspiring for a city exploration and those on a business trip,” he said.
The contract for the hotel management with Centara Hotels & Resorts was signed in 2014 with owner of the property Irfan International Hotel. The hotel chain will be very soon opening another property in the region with the Centara Grand West Bay Doha.
