Bollywood film shooting in Oman begins

Muscat -

The eagerly anticipated shooting for the Bollywood movie Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Again has begun at Shangri-La Barr al Jissah Resort & Spa.

According to sources, about 50 members of the film crew arrived in Oman on Saturday by Oman Air from Mumbai. However, shooting plans have witnessed several changes. Initially there were plans to shoot at CBD and the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, but these have been cancelled.

A member from the production unit in Oman, who does not wish to be named, said, “Many changes have been made by the director, who makes the final decisions. Such changes are common. We had plans to shoot in many locations in Oman, but they have been cancelled. We have only retained a hotel scene.

The party and song sequence has also been cancelled and the number of members in the crowd has also been reduced.”

The source said that some parts of the song sequence will be shot in Oman and these scenes will be clubbed later with shots of other locations outside Oman. “We will have more Omanis and Europeans, as against the initial plan of having more Asians for some scenes,” the source said.

Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Again will star Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Imran Khan and Sonali Bendre. The film is a sequel to the 2010 film Once Upon A Time In Mumbai starring Ajay Devgan, Randeep Hooda, Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Prachi Desai.
