2 piracy incidents reported in Sea of Oman

The two incidents, on Friday and Saturday, follow in the wake of a cluster of attacks and approaches last week and were as close as 45 nautical miles from the Muscat coast.

'On December 21, a vessel transiting in the Sea of Oman was approached and chased by two skiffs for approximately one and a half hours. On December 20, a vessel transiting through the same area was approached by a skiff that possibly had armed personnel onboard,' stated the NSC. Both vessels are subsequently reported as being safe.
