Officials said the programme is designed to prepare young Omanis for their personal and professional success and to equip them with skills and abilities required in the global marketplace. The ceremony was held under the patronage of H E Dr Abdullah al Sarmi, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Higher Education at the Military Technological College in Muscat.
The recognition marks the point where the 2016 Takatuf Scholars become part of the Takatuf Scholars Network - a national and global network of over 300 Omanis who have gone through the programme. In the programme, the students learn how to work as a team as well as become independent problem-solvers.
Previous students went on to study at institutions such as MIT, NYU, Imperial College and University College London. Ibrahim al Harthi, acting CEO, Takatuf said, “All of us at Takatuf are very proud of our students’ success. It is very rewarding to see the achievements of our Takatuf Scholars. It proves that we are on the right track to nurturing Oman’s future leaders.” Takatuf is a human capital solutions company founded in 2013. The Takatuf Scholars Programme has taught 360 students since 2012, of whom 94 have studied at preparatory schools and universities abroad.
