I looked through my clothes recently and realised something about the way I shop. It reaffirmed my belief that what editors and fashion writers say is not always right. I am a ‘piece’ shopper. I fall in love with pieces or individual items with no thought of what they go with or match at all in my existing wardrobe. I buy what I love and work it out later. This is something most stylists will tell you not to do. They insist on 'building' a wardrobe, but if I had done that I would have ended up with a strictly monochrome and neutral collection of clothes.
Good morning friends... .We now start the week together! I am very happy about the weekend change, although I am guessing it's going to take some adjustment. I believe Friday will stay as it is and Saturday will be like the old Thursday. However, it seems not many agree with me.
It would be fair to say that I'm asked about fashion on a daily basis. Not just in general but personal too. The question that seems to crop up the most is do I pick my outfits the night before or are they planned? The answer seems to shock most, as it is always ‘never’!
I don’t know about you but I am sick and tired of getting daily text messages on my phone from companies advertising their services and products. I don’t mind if it’s from establishments I use but this constant barrage of texts is annoying as well as an infringement on my privacy.
Now that I’m done with the town planning, I’d like to get started on our wardrobe planning! Summer is three seconds away and that means we must bring out, remove and revamp. Time to decide what to keep and what to store!
