Total cost of Duqm projects at RO4.57bn

According to the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm (SEZAD), there are 32 projects in Duqm, with an estimated cost of RO4.57bn.
Giving a presentation on Duqm projects during the shipping agents seminar organised by Port of Duqm at the Crowne Plaza Muscat on Sunday, Eng Zainab Abduallah al Kharusi, environmental specialist at SEZAD, said that there are 32 projects in Duqm and its total cost is RO4.57bn.
She said, “Until now, out of 32, some projects have already been completed and some are ongoing projects, and some have not yet started and are at evaluation stages.”
According to SEZAD, the Duqm refinery and petrochemical complex, one of the largest projects in the region, may cost RO2.5bn.
