Protiviti Middle East held the second annual Forum for Leadership in IT under the patronage of Dr Salim al Ruzaiqi, CEO of Information Technology Authority (ITA), at the InterContinental Muscat on Sunday. Attended by personnel from a number of government and private sector entities, the event threw light on how to manage risks and optimise operational effectiveness while protecting information assets.
Key speakers included experts from Protiviti, ITA, Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, Oman Data Park, bank muscat and Oman Arab Bank. They covered a wide range of topics on how information technology is shaping our personal and professional lives, covering important aspects of IT priorities, leadership, cloud computing, security and privacy, risk management, information governance, change management and talent management amongst other stimulating subjects.

Speaking at the conference, Eng Bader al Salehi, director of OCERT at ITA, said, “We aim to address cyber-security risks, build local cyber security capabilities within Oman and create cyber security awareness among public and private organisations.”
