UAE-based Origin Communications Group has expanded into Oman through a strategic partnership with Sadaf Oman LLC.
Sadaf Oman was founded in 1992 and has grown to be one of the companies of choice in construction, building materials, health, interior decorations, business agencies, and recently corporate communications. It has plans to extend its remit to other areas soon.
According to a press release, Origin is an international design firm that specialises in the production of high quality corporate literature and stakeholder communication.
It has been working with several blue-chip companies across the region on their annual and sustainability reports, both paper based and interactive. It already has offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Jeddah to serve an expanding client base across the GCC region.
To support expansion into Oman, Walaa Hamdan has joined the Origin team as client service manager. Hamdan graduated from Jordan University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in management information systems.
She worked with AIESEC during her four years of university study and later spent a year with AIESEC Oman as national project coordinator for a CSR project.
Origin’s recent new clients in Oman include Nawras, the sultanate’s first private sector mobile phone licensee. Origin produced the company’s annual report for 2010, one of about 15 annual reports that the design and communications group produces every year for clients across the Gulf.
Among them are Etisalat, Mubadala, National Commercial Bank, Ahli Bank of Kuwait, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), and Qatar’s Hamad Medical Corporation.
Mark Sutherland, Origin’s executive chairman, described the expansion into Oman as a response to increasing demand for top-quality professional services in corporate design, branding, and production.
