H E Yahya al Jabri named CMA chairman

H E Jabri, who was formerly executive president of CMA, replaces H E Eng Ali bin Masoud bin Ali al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry, as chief of the stock market watchdog.

Through a Royal Decree in October 2011, H E Jabri was appointed chairman of the Duqm Special Economic Zone Authority with the rank of a minister.

Speaking to Muscat Daily, an MSM official said that H E Jabri will continue as chairman of the Duqm Special Economic Zone Authority.

“The Minister of Commerce and Industry already chairs some other committees, so the government has appointed H E Jabri as the new chairman of CMA,” the official said.

In February this year, H E Abdullah bin Salem al Salmi was appointed executive president of CMA to replace H E Jabri.
