Crowne Plaza Duqm gearing up for soft opening
Muscat -
Crowne Plaza Duqm announced that it is gearing up for the opening of its new hotel in Duqm city. Duqm is currently at the centre of a major development, led by the Department of Tourism, to establish itself as a commercial and industrial centre in the Al Wusta region.
The development includes an international airport and expansion of the docks with the goal of attracting businesses and holiday makers, a press release said.
Ali Salih, general manager of Crowne Plaza Duqm, said, "We are very excited about the opening of the first luxury hotel in the Al Wusta region. The team at Crowne Plaza Duqm is looking forward to welcoming guests to our first-class facilities."
Crowne Plaza Duqm features decor inspired by Omani architecture. It is designed to allow good views of the coastline from each of the 213 spacious rooms. All guests will have access to the fitness centre as well as the adults and kids pools. Also on offer are fine-dining options, from the Frontier Bar to the Al Safi restaurant.
