The sukuk will be issued in different phases and the first issuance will be for RO50mn by way of private placement. The tenure of the first sukuk issuance will be five years with maturity in 2022 and a profit rate of 6.5 per cent.
The CMA also approved BankDhofar’s rights issue prospectus for capital increase by offering more than 216mn shares (for the existing shareholders) at an issue price of 185bz per share (comprising 100bz as nominal value, 83bz issue share premium and 2bz issue expenses).
The market regulator said more prospectuses are under considerations and will be finalised shortly. The initial public offering (IPOs) market in Oman has witnessed considerable activity in 2017, with 12 approval of prospectus at RO392.4mn in 2017.
